Scarecrow

Hey all! Hope everything is going well for everyone. I'm hunkered down in my house. I dont know why, maybe cause there are tornadoes in the area, but they all seem to be nailing Indy, where all the Final Four fans are. A trip they will surely remember! Dad got all excited when there was a "possible" tornado heading towards Ladoga....something about the house...maybe it would fly away. I don't know. It has already been hit by lightning this spring. Might as well go out with a bang! The other day it hailed! It was exciting. Chris and I had just come back from the Hoosier Horse Fair and were waiting to leave for the John Mellencamp concert, when it started to storm...and when I looked out the window, ice was bouncing off my car! I was not pleased. But everything was fine.

So, let's see, lately I have been sick. Went to work like an idiot on Sunday feeling like crap. As the day went along, I felt more like crap and had trouble even walking around. It was pathetic really, a 26 year old limping around like she was 86. When I took my temperature after work, it was 101! I was actually shocked it was that high, and was sure that the thermometer was lying to me. But, mom said it was accurate, so I gladly called in to work the next day and played sick. But I could not skip school cause I had an exam in Mr. Positive's class. Grrrr. Anyway, feeling much better now! Only problem is that Jake is sick. And I want to ride! Poor boy.

As I said, Chris and I went to the Horse Fair. Honestly, I was not thrilled with it. Seems like even when it gets bigger, it gets smaller. The tack shops bring kiddie goods and the English tack is slim pickings. Not to mention the food is expensive! Thank goodness we brought our lunch. All I wanted to get was a decent halter. Simple, right? Wrong! Can't a person find a good un-Goddy nylon halter? I guess I was hoping for too much. Oh well. At least we got out of Lafayette.

That night we went and saw Mellencamp in concert. Mom went with us and had seen him before...years ago. You know....when he still had that rock-n-roll hair and was called "John Cougar." Good entertaining concert. He was assertive on his political views, but he is in the position to say his views for us to listen. We can either choose to listen or ignore what is said. He said what everyone was thinking. Can't fault a person for that. Anyway, it was neat to see him since his songs are classic to Indiana. Been listening to his music for years, so it was neat to see him live. Overall, had a good time. And he flipped us off! And cussed! And smoked! It was great!

Not a whole lot going on now. Just got done doing homework for my computer class, and I still have some anatomy to do. Tomorrow night I gotta date :-D. Well, I'm gonna get off of here. Even though it is 11pm...in my book it is 10pm! To heck with DST! Hahaa. Bye y'all!
