The Holidays

The holidays are officially ending. Seemed like we flew right through it and didn't get a chance to really enjoy it. I think "working" right through it is a better description. On Christmas Eve I met some more of Chris's family. They had an informal buffet finger-food dinner that was tasty. I was told it wasn't as crazy as it normally is, but the kids all went to sing at church, so it was quiet. But we had Marmaduke to play with. This dog was huge! I was sitting on the couch, and he was eye level with me! He was very sweet and quiet though. The little small dog was the one to watch out for. Something seemed wrong with that picture. On Christmas Day, we went to Crawfordsville for our annual Christmas dinner. Mom, dad, Tammy, Tom, Justin, Chris, and I...and the our hosts grandpa Jake and Betty were all accounted for. Had a nice lunch. Got me a nice frame that I already have hung on the wall. Looks good! Mom got me a MP3 player, which I am still trying to learn about. Lemme tell you, I thought I was better at technology than this. But it did not come with an instruction booklet! Hello! So I am learning by trial and error, and through experience from playing with Chris's Ipod.

Christmas night we had dinner with Chris's family. His mom got me a nice Italian charm bracelet which I am already searching for new charms for. Gotta fill it up you know! Then came Chris's present...which was great. It's a large statue of Lady and the Tramp. How perfect for me! I carefully got it home and have it set up on its own little private table. I wasn't expecting it at all. He put so much thought into, and I think that is what makes it special to me.

We missed grandma and Ron's dinner because we had to work till midnight that night! Talk about not fair....spending the holidays till midnight at a deli. How cruel! We will get together with them soon I hope and have dinner.

Let's see, tonight is New Years Eve, and I will be hitting the pillow at 12:01. Chris is coming over and we have our sparkling grape juice ready to go! (We have to work in the morning....bummer!) I start school on the 10th, and I am a little nervous, even though this is old school to me. Been there, done that. Just a little older (although not wiser) now.

Just a little prayer for my grandpa Jack who is in the hospital. Get well soon!

Bye y'all.......
