Big Jake

So this is Jake! My big ole former racehorse (although he is mighty small next to Chris). Isn't he cute? Ah come on...you know you love that cute little face! This is after a year after having him. Seven of us from our boarding stable went to ride the trails up at Winnimac, Indiana, on a nice fall day. He was so happy to leave the farm! And was he behaved. He went through water, stepped over logs, played in the sand, pinned his ears at another horse....it was great! But he was sure glad to go back home and rest.

Then of course we have my friend Heather on him. She came out one day during her winter vacation from school (I hope that's right....I think you were house sitting for Nat...right?) Anyway, Nat....you need to get over here and ride so I can get one with you on him too! Heather did a pretty good job riding him if I do say so myself! Then of course we have the big guy (Chris) with him. They seem to have hit it off fairly well (thank heavens....hard to choose between the two if they didnt get along :-P) I led Chris around on Jake in the arena...until poor Jake's nostrils were flaring. Remember, Jake is used to a 100lb jockey and a 125 pound girl on his back! Put a 220lb guy on his back...nah, Jake is just a wimp. He's a 1000 pound animal....he can get over it! He needs to pull more weight around that place. Hahaaa. Right. One can dream....right? So there ya go...both my big guys (and Heather!) all in one pretty little blog....bye bye!
